Innovation & Technology Specialist
Chemonics International seeks a Innovation & Technology Specialist for the USAID-funded Building Regional Economic Bridges (BREB) activity in the West Bank and Gaza.

The Innovation and Technology Specialist is responsible for establishing and facilitating partnerships in industrial, scientific, academic fields transfer technology and know-how and that are innovative and transformative in the Palestinian ecosystem. The specialist will be expected to bring together Palestinian, regional, and U.S. institutions to identify and pursue collaborative technological and innovative opportunities with commercial implications. They should have a strong commitment to fostering cooperation and innovation.
Working under the direction of the Component 1 team leader and coordinating with the BREB management and team members, the specialist will:
- Lead efforts to, identify, research, develop, and implement technology partnerships that strengthens Palestinian economic sectors.
- Lead the technical aspects of development and implementation for R&D and technology grants.
- Working closely with component one team leader, help introduce innovations in sectors such as ICT, agriculture, healthcare, and/or others, that make a long-term, sustainable impact.
- Develop plans and strategies to reach this objective.
- Manage projects and grants, including project scope, design, implementation, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting.

Basic qualifications include:
- University degree in economics, business, trade, entrepreneurship, information technology, or another relevant field
- Minimum 10 years of experience working in technology and technology partnerships or a related field at the local level; work or engagement with international R&D or similar institutions preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the Palestinian innovation ecosystem in one or more sectors; knowledge of the R&D and innovation landscape in other countries in the region or U.S. is preferred.
- Fluent level of spoken and written English and Arabic required.
