Internal Accountant

Job Description

MEFCO LTD is a recently founded company based in Jerusalem and the Franchisee of KFC (Kentucky Fried Chicken) in Israel. The company was established in 2019 with the purpose of opening more than 30 KFC restaurants in Israel focusing on the mixed and Aarab majority cities.

The company is seeking an ambitious & qualified professional for the position of Internal Accountant with the potential of career advancement. 

The position's main duties are:

Inventory Management

  • Assist restaurant management with the ordering system and make sure it is done according to company’s policy
  • Monitor Cost of Raw Materials and Production and revise pricing agreements with suppliers
  • Assisting in the improvement in internal controls related to inventory
  • Reconciling inventory accounts to the general ledger
  • Preparing monthly journal entries as needed
  • Special projects as required

Suppliers’Accounts

  • Assist in providing accurate, timely, and relevant recording, reporting, and analysis of financial information
  • Collect, organize, and share with tax consultant all supplier invoices in timely manner
  • Checks expenses supporting documents eligibility (Invoices, Contracts, Payments, Receipts)
  • Prepare payments to all suppliers according to agreements and price lists in timely and accurate manner and make sure it’s executed and documented
  • Maintain a payment schedule for all inventory suppliers to make sure payments are made accurately and within the agreed window
  • Prepare and organize new suppliers’ information and make sure it is entered in the accounting system
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports such as financial statements and budget performance
  • Handle sensitive information in a confidential manner

Visa & Bank Reconcilations

  • Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analysing account information
  • Reconcile Visa daily income transactions and report any discrepancies
  • Reconcile suppliers’ account when needed

Other Duties

  • Manage the monthly payroll needs, total hours of restaurants’ staff, salary slips, follow-up with the external salary consultant
  • Follow-up and audit expense reports to ensure compliance with travel and expense policies
  • Manage petty Cash in the office

Job Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance
  • At least 1 year experience preferably in corporate accounting
  • Very good English & Hebrew level
  • Very good Computer skills (Email & basic software)
  • Spreadsheet proficiency
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage deadlines
  • Teamwork & collaboration skills
  • Jerusalem ID holder
  • Valid driving license
