Are you freshly out of studying for a Masters in development or emergency practice? Have you had a small amount of emergency response experience but are looking to find more opportunities? Are you passionate about emergency response? Do you have some training experience and are you able to communicate clearly? Then we might be looking for you.

About the role

Oxfam GB office in Jerusalem is looking for an intern to work with emergency partners to improve their capacity to respond to emergencies and quick on set disasters. This role will be for 6 months from January to June 2013. It will entail providing capacity building support to partners in a range of organisational and emergency response related needs. You will be managed by the Deputy Country Director in the Jerusalem office but will spend most of your time with various partners in their offices across the West Bank.

Holding good command of both English and Arabic is ideal. However Fluency in at least one with a strong working knowledge of the other would also be considered.

Please note that is not a paid position but Oxfam will cover transport and subsistence costs for the days worked
