Invitation for Pre-Qualification of Business Service Provide

 

Mercy Corps is a nonprofit international relief and development organization serving more than 19 million people in 36 countries. Mercy Corps has had a presence in the West Bank and Gaza since the 1980s, helping Palestinians meet their immediate needs for survival and find durable solutions to chronic problems. With offices in East Jerusalem, Ramallah and Gaza City, Mercy Corps implements programs throughout the Palestinian territories.

Through the USAID-funded Palestinian Community Assistance Program (PCAP), Mercy Corps is delivering business services in the Gaza Strip in the following fields:

-Sector and workforce needs assessments.
-Technical training for youth and university, college, and Technical and Vocational Education, and Training Center (TVET) graduates.
-Career counseling training for students and university graduates. 
-Technical training, assistance, and support to local business firms and entrepreneurs.
-Capacity building of business associations.

Mercy Corps seeks to engage the capacity and experience of reputable local service providers in the Gaza Strip. This pre-qualification process is intended to qualify a list of firms in specialized fields for specific services required. These services will be outlined in a subsequent request for offer by Mercy Corps.

Consulting/service provider firms are kindly encouraged to fill out and submit an application form for pre-qualification as per the instructions, along with all the required supporting documents.
 
Eligibility:
-Consulting/service provider firms in the Gaza Strip. Freelancers and independent consultants are not eligible.
-The company should have proven past performance in its field.
-Experience in providing services to international organizations and donor funded projects, preferably with USAID.
-The company is properly registered.
-Has sufficient technical resources and experience to conduct a quality service in a professional and efficient manner. 

Eligible and interested consultancy/service providers may request to fill out a pre-qualification application form by e-mailing an expression of interest to [email protected] no later than May 12, 2011. Upon receipt of the e-mail request, the application form and instructions will be sent within two days.

The deadline for application submission is May 19, 2011 at 12:00 PM. Only short-listed firms will be contacted. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
