Islamic Relief/ Head of Programmes

Islamic Relief is a humanitarian NGO operating in Palestine in the fields of emergency relief and long-term development. Islamic Relief announces the following vacancy for its office in Gaza.

Ref: 2009/34/HoP
Duration: one year (full time) – Renewable
Open for international candidates.
Overall Responsibilities: Under the guidance of the HoM, the HoP is to be responsible for the overall management and direction of IR programmes and projects in Gaza, including the Emergency Relief, Child Welfare and Development programmes.
Candidates must posses the following competencies:
-A post graduate degree in administrative management, social development or a related
field
- Minimum of seven years experience of working for an international NGO
-Proven experience of designing & implementing development and / or emergency relief programmes
- Extensive experience and / or knowledge of Palestine.
-A proven record of effective management
- Experience in programme planning, monitoring, evaluation and appraisal (minimum five years)
- Budgeting skills

General Skills required for all applicants :
- Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team
- Interpersonal skills and good communication skills
- Excellent computer skills
- Fluency in English (written and spoken)
- Excellent repot writing skills
