Islamic Relief/ Health Projects Coordinator

Islamic Relief is a humanitarian NGO operating in Palestine in the fields of emergency relief and long-term development. Islamic Relief announces the following vacancy for its office in Gaza.

 

Ref: 2009/35/HPC
Duration: four months (full time) - Renewable
Overall Responsibilities: Under the guidance of the Emergency and Relief Manager, the HPC is to be responsible for the overall co-ordination of IR Health projects in Gaza, coordinate with local partners, and provide direction and management to local partners for implementing work plans, keep record of all projects documents.
Candidates must posses the following competencies:
- Bachelor degree in health related (public health,biomedical engineering, or a related field)
- Minimum three years of increasingly responsible experience in health projects management, preferably in international NGOs.
- Knowledge of Palestinian health system (hospitals,clinics….).
- Experience in technical specifications, accessories for medical equipments.
- Excellent Knowledge of Project management theory, principles and practices.

General Skills required for all applicants :
- Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team
- Interpersonal skills and good communication skills
- Excellent computer skills
- Fluency in English (written and spoken)
- Excellent repot writing skills
