Position: IT & DIS Officer 

Location: Gaza Strip

Global Communities is seeking an IT & Development Information Solutions (DIS) Officer for a USAID-funded Household WASH program in Gaza. This program, initiated three years ago, will continue for an additional two years. Its primary objective is to enhance human health, environmental well-being, and livelihoods in vulnerable communities by improving access to safe domestic water and sanitation facilities. Priorities include: 1) Providing durable solutions to vulnerable communities, such as the establishment, extension or rehabilitation of water distribution networks and sanitation systems at the household and neighborhood levels; and 2) Increasing emergency WASH preparedness interventions to mitigate and reduce rainwater and sewage flooding risks in vulnerable communities.

Responsibilities:

The IT & DIS Officer specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Oversees and manages office IT infrastructure
• Under the direction of the Senior MEL Specialist, maintains and analyzes M&E and DIS data collected by all partners.
• Enters all required project activity data into the geo-MIS system, ensuring it is up-to-date and accurate.
• Manage beneficiary databases and ensure timely data entry.
• Establish other databases as needed.
• Provide support to office staff on general IT issues
• Maintain records of licenses and upgrade as needed

Qualifications:

• Bachelor Degree in computer science , MIS or any related field
• Three years of relevant experience;
• Good experience in Hard ware and software systems
• Good experience in printers and copiers functionality and operation
• Proven experience in database management and SQL
• Proven experience of data collection design such as Kobo Toolbox
• Full professional proficiency in spoken and written in both English and Arabic;
