IT Support Engineer

Job Description

Position: (IT Support Engineer)
Work Location: Gaza

IT department at leading Internet provider wishes to recruit highly motivated personnel for the following challenging and rewarding opportunity:

Duties & Responsibilities:
1-Provide support to office-based and remote users on topics involving software, hardware, and
peripherals such as printers, fax machines and others.
2-Track all support requests, calls, and emails.
3-Good knowledge in software applications maintenance, troubleshooting and debugging.
4-Follow-up previous support efforts in order to ensure success and satisfaction.
5-Contribute to and maintain a knowledge base of solutions to problems.
6-Prepare instructional documentation for users and propose new solutions to problems area
primary point of contact when IT Operations staff is not available.
7-Follow up the implementation of preventive and periodic examinations of software and
hardware to solve problems and raise the related reports, based on the action plans prepared
by the service desk department.
8-Produce technical reports of maintenance required periodically.
9-Ability to work under pressure and hold extra duties.
10-Ability to work out of working hours and providing the required support to staff remotely.
11-Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience:
1-A BSC degree in computer engineering or IT related fields.
2-2 years previous helpdesk or customer support experience.
3-Knowledge of Microsoft Office 2003,2007 and 2010.
4-Knowledge of various versions of Windows such as Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows
7-windows Server 2003 and 2008.
5-Excellent company service skills, effective call handling and problem management.
6-Excellent communication skills are essential as is the ability to quickly learn new applications.
7-Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently.
8-Experience troubleshooting hardware and software.
9-An in-depth understanding of TCP/IP networking and related concepts.
10-Experience with Windows Server 2003, XP & Vista.
11-Certifications (Microsoft, A+, NET+, etc…) are plus.
12-English reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required.
