IT Technical Support Officer

Children’s Relief Bethlehem/Caritas Baby Hospital (CRB/CBH) in Bethlehem is a charitable institution committed to providing high quality
health, social and educational services to ”Mother and Child” in Palestine.
CBH has been awarded a grant by USAID entitled “Development of Services at Caritas Baby Hospital”. One component of this grant is the
implementation of an integrated, comprehensive, and automated Health Information System.
In line with the above, CBH is seeking qualified applicants for the following two positions:

ITTechnical Support Officer

Qualifications:
-BA (4-years) degree in Information Technology (IT)
-Microsoft, Cisco, UNIX or Mile2 certification is preferred.

Skills:
-Experience with IT equipment.
-Great customer service skills.
-Ability to keep updated on IT developments and new trends.
-Good English language knowledge.
-Systems Administration/System Engineer certification in Microsoft or UNIX.
-At least four years system administration experience.
-Experience in programming languages.
-The ability to work under pressure and out-side of official working hours.

Main Tasks:
-Maintain and administer computer networks and related computing environments, including computer hardware, systems software,
applications software, and all configurations.
-Maintain and administer Active Directory, Domain Controller, DNS, DHCP and Exchange Server.
-Planning and undertaking scheduled maintenance upgrades for different hardware or software.
-Knowledge in IT network designing for LAN, WAN and WLAN networks.
-Co-supervise the implementation of the new Hospital Information System.
-Maintain the new HIS after installation in addition to provide training and technical support for employees.
-Linux administration and maintenance including squid, apache, and security options.
-Knowledge in Internet security and maintaining of firewalls policies and rules.
-Some knowledge in Voice communications systems like IP telephone systems and Digital PBX.
-Manage security for all systems, including firewalls, anti-virus protection, general network security, user access rights, secure remote
access.
-Good knowledge in programming languages including C++, Java, PHP, HTML, JavaScript and .Net programming.
-Implement database structure, design, backup and recovery.
-Supporting the video conference system.

Supervision:
This position reports directly to the Hospital’s IT Sector Supervisor.

Term of office:
This position is available for the duration of the project (3 years).
