Junior Accountant

Job Description

Business Alliance is looking for a Junior Accountant to join the team in Ramallah, Palestine. We would love to meet you!

Type of Contract: Full-time.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Preparing payments by verifying documentation and requesting disbursements.
  2. Recording and Bookkeeping of financial transactions includes payments, receipts and other journal entries; (on accounting /ERP system)?
  3. Preparing Bank reconciliations.
  4. Facilitating and assisting monthly close procedures.
  5. Preparing internal and external financial reports when requested.
  6. Assisting in preparing VAT calculations and Income tax.
  7. Maintaining updated logs and CRM.
  8. Conducting field visits to banks, tax department, customers, etc.
  9. Ensuring proper general company filing (Finance, Admin, Contracts, etc) and maintaining a hard and soft archiving system.
  10. Performing other Financial, Administrative, and office tasks as per the job requirements.

Job Requirements
Special Requirements & Skills: 
  1. Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role.
  2. Excellent numeracy skills with high attention to details.
  3. Familiar with different accounting software, including Scope & Quickbooks.
  4. Strong computer skills, particularly in MS Office application (e.g. word, excel, PowerPoint).
  5. Strong analytical skills.
Total Years of Experience:
1 - 3 years of total experience with 1+ years of them in a relevant role. 
 
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, or Finance & Banking.
 
Location:
Ramallah, Palestine

Languages Required:
Fluent in Arabic & English.
