Bethlehem Arab Society For Rehabilitation (BASR), founded in 1960, is a nonprofit non-government organization that is nationally recognized for the comprehensive specialized integrated medical, rehabilitation, educational, psychosocial, vocational and recreational services it renders to the Palestinian population, particularly persons with disability, through its varied centre based, outreach and community based programs.

Position Title: Knowledge Management Officer
Location: Beit-Jala
Accountable To: Director of program Development
Job Summary:
-The Knowledge Management Officer (KMO) is part of the program and project development team of BASR responsible for:
- Developing and implementing effective Communication, Knowledge management and Organizational Learning strategies for:
-enhancing the quality of decision-making and management (due to improved information and knowledge flow) at all levels
-internal capacity development (capacity building of personnel at all levels)
-external capacity development (externalising and sharing knowledge from within BASR with the outside world for enhancing advocacy and effective community development)
Professional Qualifications:
-Minimum 3 years in the field of Knowledge Management and in facilitating Organizational Learning Processes.
-Strong negotiation, interpersonal and team working skills
-Communicating clearly and effectively (in oral and written forms in both Arabic and English) and relating well with people of diverse backgrounds and cultures.
-Ability to adapt to and analyze and understand an organizational culture.
- Ability to interpret group dynamics and to feed them back to the group in a non-threatening way.
-Ability to translate experiences into workable concepts and strategies.
-Very good communication and information management skills.
-Ability to work under pressure in a conscientious and organized manner;
-Ability to liaise effectively with the multiple stakeholders like the local community, the public and donor agencies.
-Excellent Computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email, Internet)
Education:
Bachelors or Masters Degree Communication Studies, Information Systems, Management, Organization Development, or other relevant subjects, with a focus on Learning Processes, Action
Research and Process Facilitation, complemented ideally with courses in Knowledge Management,
Outcome Mapping, Project Cycle Management, Communications.
