Action Against Hunger (ACF) is a humanitarian, non-governmental, non-political, non-denominational and non-profit making organisation working in the Palestinian Territory since 2002. ACF is recruiting for its Hebron office a
Logistics Assistant
For an initial 2 months period
The Candidate will:
-Transport ACF staff and equipment according to the weekly movement plan and/or any ad-hoc movements authorised by the Base Logistician
- Make daily and weekly checks of the ACF Hebron vehicle fleet, identify possible problems early on and ensure vehicle safety is maintained at an optimum level
- Undertake procurement, as and when requested by the Base Logistician
- Deal with contractors and suppliers to ensure technical specifications and arrange
deliveries, as and when requested by the Base Logistician
- Deliver and collect quotes, as and when requested by the Base Logistician
- Ensure that the ACF Hebron base is a safe working environment
- Coordinate with contractors and suppliers to ensure maintenance and repairs are undertaken
Profile of the Candidate:
- Higher relevant academic degree
- Experience in logistics and procurement for at least 2 years, experience with an NGO is a plus
- Very good command in English (written, spoken)
- Good knowledge of cars maintenance, knowledge of mechanics is a plus.
- Excellent computer skills, Excel and Word
- Good Interpersonal and communication skills
- Motivation and commitment to humanitarian work
- Ability to work within a team
- Valid driving license for not less than 5 years
