Lawyer

The Palestine Monetary Authority is an autonomous organization with an important role in the
development of the Palestinian economy through its work in economic analysis, in supervision
of banking institutions, and in keeping the banking system sound and effective. It invites qualified
candidates to submit their resumes for the following permanent position:

Title: Lawyer(s) (In-House Legal Counselor(s))

The lawyers will be responsible for monitoring and assuring that all PMA functions, policies, procedures and systems comply with relevant national and international laws and regulations.
They will be responsible for providing timely and high quality legal analysis and advice to the
PMA’s departments, divisions and offices in all areas of PMA responsibilities. The lawyers will conduct administrative and court litigation on behalf of the PMA, and contributes to various legislative proposals affecting the responsibilities of the PMA.

Minimum Requirements
-BA in law from an accredited university and membership of Palestinian Bar Association.
-At least four years practical experience in law with emphasis on financial and regulatory issues. International experience is a distinct advantage
-Possess in-depth knowledge of applicable laws and regulations as they relate to banking industry,
finance, procurement, human resources, labor law and real estate.

Candidates for the above position are expected to have:
-Excellent computer skills.
-The ability to communicate verbally and in writing in Arabic and English fluently, and a demonstrated ability to make clear and concise presentations in these languages.
