Programme Description
The Palestinian Market Development Programme (PMDP) is funded by UK Department for International Development (DFID) and the European Union (EU) in-cooperation with the Ministry of National Economy and implemented by DAI Europe over a period of five years, with offices in Ramallah and Gaza. The programme has been designed to improve market systems and improve the competitiveness of the Palestinian private sector. PMDP aims to improve private sector competitiveness through technical assistance and matching grants. Additionally, PMDP will work on strengthening trade and investment linkages as well as linkages with the Palestinian Diaspora to play an active role in economic development in the OPTs.
We are currently recruiting for the following position:
Lead Business Advisor
The Lead Business Advisor, based in Ramallah, will work on the delivery of the matching grants component to improve private sector skills and innovation. The Lead Business Advisor together with a team of Business Advisors will work with the grantees to innovate their products/services and/or processes, and enter into new markets. To be successful in this role, you must ideally have had previous experience managing highly experienced team, plus you will have worked with grant funded economic growth or private sector development projects.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
-Degree in Business, Economics ore related field. MBA would be preferable but not required.
-Minimum 10 years of relevant experience
-Previous experience with donor funded economic growth projects in Palestine.
-Experience in Private sector development.
-Must be able to demonstrate previous management experience.
-Strong communications and interpersonal skills
-Expert knowledge of the SME market and understanding of key economic sectors in West Bank and Gaza.
-Previous experience working on large grants programme
