Learning and Capacity Building Officer

ActionAid is seeking a qualified person to fill the position of Learning and capacity building Officer for its Global Platform for 12 months period (extendable).
The post location is Bethlehem
Start Date: Immediately.
The objective of this position is to ensure efficient field implementation, documentation, monitoring and evaluation, partner and donor coordination are all fulfilled under the supervision of ActionAid Palestine Global Platform Manager.
The key responsibilities areas for this position will be as follows:
- Strengthen the training methodology and quality while understanding that all Trainers of the GP will have their own area of specialization (content development).
- Provide timely and consistent inputs to ensure all trainings follow T4C Trainings Principles, Guidelines and Methodologies.
- Develop strong relationships with the relevant programme and HRBA practitioners at AAP to ensure high quality, consistent trainings are delivered.
- Engage with AAP programme teams and other strategic partners in designing and delivering contextualized training courses/packages relevant for Palestine and the Arab region.
- Together with the rest of the team, develop a center for research, innovation and youth space.
- Coordinate with all relevant stakeholders at community, local and national level in implementation of the project's activities.
- Contribute to development of annual plans together with projected spending and monitor progress against this plan closely.
- Ensure that activities are taking place on time and in accordance with the budget and work plan
- Ensure proper financial process in all procurements related to the programme are adhering to AAP financial policies and procedures.
- Support the preparation, planning, conduction and documentation of Global Contact related courses (depending on actual sign up for these courses)
- Support as needed on GPP Youth hub activities
- Actively engage in the mobilization as well as involvement and inclusion of associate trainers in training activities to ensure ongoing capacity support of youth and building up around the associate trainers and volunteers supporting the GPP

Eligible applicants are required to have the following qualifications and skills:
- Bachelor's degree in International Development, Political Science, Global Studies, Sociology, International Relations, Cultural Studies or any related field.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in providing trainings in the field of Youth empowerment and leadership, citizenship, governance, advocacy, gender, Human Rights Based Approach.
- Ready to work and apply knowledge and skills in a hectic and dynamic work environment.
- Able to take initiative and responsibility of own tasks and duties.
- Engaged and responsible team player.
- Demonstrated commitment to work with the youth and colleagues in an equal and respectful manner where shared learning is essential.
- Creative and innovative.
- Willingness to actively partake in the trainer team of the GP where supervising each other and stepping in for each other when needed is fundamental for the work.
- Prepared and willing to work additional and flexible hours at crucial times.
- Self-driven and able to motivate other colleagues and keep a high spirit in stressful situations.
- Fluent English language is required.
Indicative salary range: ILS 4,887.13 to 5,675.45 per month.
