Legal Assistant
The Palestinian Electricity Transmission Ltd. (PETL) invites applications from eligible candidates for the following positions:
Legal Assistant (Ref. #: LA/LD/2016-06)
Roles and Responsibilities:
-Assist Legal Director on the leadership and effective management of resources in the Legal department.
-Keeps documents organized by establishing and organizing files; monitoring calendars; meeting deadlines; documenting actions; inputting information into file database; confirming status with Legal Director.
-Assist on all matters of legal risk.
-Assist in reviewing and providing legal advice on tender documents.
-Assist in reviewing ongoing cases and counsel management accordingly.
-Assist in the legal protection and risk management advice to management especially on contract management.
-Assist in providing and interpreting legal information, conduct training and disseminate appropriate legal requirements to staff.
-Assist in Policy development.
-Assist in the reviewing of internal policies and procedures and counsel management on legal implications.
-Conduct research on relevant laws, regulations, and legal articles
-Draft correspondence and legal documents, such as contracts
Qualifications:
-BA in Law with a minimum 2 years of extensive experience.
-Licensed to practice law by the Palestinian Bar Association.
-Reporting Skills, Research Skills and Legal Administration Skills.
-Organization and Planning skills.
-Confidentiality & Dependability.
-Impeccable attention to detail.
-Good knowledge of Palestinian Labor Law.
