Liaison Officer
TERMS OF REFERENCE
Position: Liaison Officer (8 Position)
Place of Performance: Gaza
Contract Duration: One year with possibility of extension
Starting Date: ASAP

OVERVIEW OF THE POSITION
In granting support to the Ministry of Civil Affairs (MoCA) and the Palestinian Ministry of Public Works and Housing (PMPWH), the main responsibilities of the Liaison Officer are to:
-Support and assist in the liaison between the project and different parties in the PNA.
-Prepare reports as required.
-Other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE
Education:
-Technical/Professional Diploma in Political Science, International Relations, Criminology, or other related field; high school degree with additional years of relevant work experience, may substitute for the requirement for a diploma.
Work Experience:
-Minimum 2-3 years of experience working in a complex security and emergency situations and exposure to humanitarian access / security requirements;
-Ability to build constructive relationships with the government and other local authorities;
-Proven management and administrative skills;
-Demonstrated willingness and competence to travel to the field whenever necessary.
Key Competencies:
-Detail oriented;
-Comfortable working with basic keyboarding and computer navigation;
-Knowledge of word processing software and systems (i.e. Microsoft Office);
-Ability to multi-task and work in an environment where there may be frequent distractions;
-Ability to work in a team
-Ability to work effectively under conditions of limited or dual supervision, high stress and rapidly changing situations and circumstances.
Languages:
-Strong written and verbal communication skills in Arabic and English;
