Livelihood Projects Coordinator

Islamic Relief (IR) is a humanitarian NGO working in Palestine since 1998. Islamic Relief helps the needy people without regard to creed, race, gender, or ethnicity. It works on achieving economic and social welfare through its joint development and emergency programmes with the local community. Islamic Relief announces the following vacancies for its offices in West Bank.

Title: Livelihood Projects Coordinator
Ref: LPC/WB/35/2010
Duration: One year (Full Time)
Location: Ramallah

Main Duties:
-Responsible for ensuring that projects reporting requirements are met in a timely and quality manner.
-Conduct needs assessments process and feasibility analysis to examine livelihoods needs and identify priorities for actions, adapt programms designs, and mobilize resources to meet these needs
-Ensure that all livelihoods activities are technically sound and relevant to the community context.
-Identify and oversee the provision of technical livelihoods training to partners and CBOs in the implementation of livelihoods interventions, and ensure that interventions improve individuals and households
-Ensure livelihoods indicators are consistent with projects main goals and outcomes and assist Islamic Relief in developing appropriate strategies for monitoring and evaluating livelihoods-related activities.
-Supervise field workers and officers, provide technical support and guidance to them.

Candidates must possess the following competencies:
-University Degree in development studies, agricultural engineering, international development or related fields.
-At least 5 years experience in livelihoods projects.
-Experience in working in the NGO sector

General Skills required for the first and third posts :
-English language skills (speaking and writing).
-Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
-Interpersonal skills and good communication skills.
-High report writing skills. And ability to prepare work plan.
-Working knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook, and Internet
-Ability and willingness to travel within West Bank districts.
