GENERAL INFORMATION
Organization: Solidaridad Internacional (SI)
Job Title: Local Administrative Assistant
Base: Jerusalem
Direct Supervised by: SI Country Representative, SI Projects Coordinators and SI Administrator-Accountant
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES/REPONSIBILITIES
1-Prepare financial documents for mid-term and final reporting to SI donors (AECID, AACID, JCCLM, EC, etc) under the Supervision of the Project Coordinators of SI:
-Compile bank statements and transfers certifications from SI office and partners for reporting to donors or internal reporting.
-Compile expenditure documents from SI office and partners for reporting to donors or internal reporting.
-Review the documents and make sure they accomplish the donor criteria for project financial reporting (AECID Guidelines as a general rule) and make sure the documents match the report that the Project Coordinator has prepared and previously given to the Admin-Assistant.
-Provide the partner and SI Administrator- Accountant with indications about possible deficiencies in the received documentation.
-Prepares documents for certification in the Spanish consulate.
-Receive and archive in SI office the certified documents from the Spanish consulate.
-Prepare the report back up documents for shipment to Spain according to established model/list of annexes model of SI.
-Archive reports back up documents in SI office according to established model.
2-Prepare translations for financial documents upon request from SI Administrator-Accountant.
3-Support the Administrator-Accountant in collecting, classifying and recording the expense receipts of SI office in accordance with the internal rules and generally accepted the accounting principles
4-Assist the Administrator-Accountant in case there is an Audit for any project or SI office in general.
5-Assist the Administrator-Accountant to maintain proper filing system according to SI needs.
6-Perform other Administrative duties as required by the SI Country Representative.
PROFILE OF THE CANDIDATE
-Financial and administrative experience and studies, good knowledge of Excel
-Minimum 2 years experience preferable within an NGO
-Knowledge of Accountancy Rules
-Knowledge of English, Arabic language, Spanish and Hebrew is an asset.
-Time management, team building and stress management skills
CONTRACT:
