In the occupied Palestinian Territory Save the Children implements large scale programs in the field of protection, education, food security, health and child rights governance.  Save the Children’s ‘dual mandate’ means that humanitarian and emergency responses represent a core part of every program.

Save the Children is currently implementing the European Funded “Promoting Healthy Youth Development Project” in partnership with Youth Development Department “YDD”, Palestinian Counseling Center “PCC” and Bidna Capoeira “BC”

Save the Children is currently seeking “Youth Led Advocacy training services (local trainer/ consultant) to implement the following tasks in close coordination with Save the Children and relevant parties

Youth Led Advocacy and Tools Training

The consultant is expected to arrive at this goal in three stages: 
1 – Training of two groups of youth leaders and Save the Children staff in advocacy methodology, skills and tactics adapted to the East Jerusalem context. The training should allow for the youth to understand the process of change at different levels and their role in making it happen. It’s worth mentioning that the group which will receive this training will train another group of youth in return/school groups.
1    Facilitate a workshop/ 2 workshops for the youth around 82 youth leaders and SC and Partners Staff to develop an advocacy strategy and plan for action that is empowering and relevant to the youth, and where youth have also acquired needed


Skills to design, plan and implement a campaign Identify during the workshop the specific technical skills the youth need to successfully implement the plan.
2    To deliver coaching services for youth leaders in the three targeted areas.
3    Strategy and plan for action that is empowering and relevant to the youth, and where youth have also acquired needed skills to design, plan and implement a campaign Identify during the workshop the specific technical skills the youth need to successfully implement the plan.
4    To deliver coaching days with youth groups in the three targeted areas.
Main outcomes of the consultancy:
1 – Youth leaders understand and are able to apply change methodologies to their local context
2 – Youth leaders are able to transfer the skills learnt to their peers and lead in the process of the key problems they face in their communities
3 - Youth leaders develop and take ownership of an advocacy strategy and have the skills needed to push forward the action plan to success.
4- Youth leaders are able to plan, design and implement a campaign.

Deliverables:
-Application: Training plan including methodology, schedule and suggested materials to be used (accompanied by CV and covering letter)
-Detailed schedule for training/workshop developed in consultation with youth leaders and Save the children in advance of the sessions
-Delivery of 2 workshops for the youth around 82 youth leaders and SC and Partners Staff As well, three coaching days to be set with trainees.
-Advocacy strategy and detailed action plan document
-Final consultancy report with recommendations
Training/workshop to be delivered in Arabic.
