International Relief and Development (IRD) is a nongovernmental, nonprofit organization, operating in the West Bank and Gaza since December 2007. IRD’s mission is to reduce the suffering of the world’s most vulnerable groups and provide tools and resources needed to increase their self-sufficiency. IRD is seeking to hire qualified people in the West Bank and Gaza on relief short term projects, for the following positions:
4- Logisticians (Ramallah and Gaza): The logisticians will be helping the logistics specialist to manage all logistical functions relating to the smooth and successful operations of the project, ensuring that all required goods, materials and equipment are sourced and managed for the project and maintaining all systems appropriate for the movement of goods and people.
Required Qualifications:
• At least 2 years previous field experience in logistics, preferably in a complex humanitarian emergency context.
• Ability to maintain performance expectations in psychologically stressful environments and physical hardship conditions with limited resources.
