Premiere Urgence - Aide Medicale Internationale PU-AMI is a non-profit, non-governmental, humanitarian organization working toward international solidarity. PU-AMI is working in the Occupied Palestinian Territory since 2002. It provides humanitarian assistance to the Palestinian people in West Bank and Gaza throughout food security and Watsan programs. 
PU-AMI seeks: Logistics and administrative assistant - Gaza office

Overall responsibility
The candidate will assist the logistic and administrative officer for all logistical and administrative issues related to PU-AMI’s Gaza project.

Main duties
-Planning and undertaking all procurement activities related to programme implementation and Gaza office in accordance to PU-AMI rules, practices and procedures.
-Conduct an inspection for the goods and verify the technical specificationsof items at delivery.
-Prepare and update procurement plans during the project period.
--Managing and correctly maintaining existing equipment according to PU-AMI rules, regulations, practices and procedures.
-Following up the warehouses and manage the inventory of assets and goods.
-Managing and maintaining the existing vehicle fleet with direct supervision of drivers.
-Following up the vehicles logbooks on a daily basis and filling the monthly logbook sheet.
-Communicating with drivers and employees in the field through the VHF all the time.
-Monitoring the security context affecting PU-AMI programme and implement day to day security procedures to ensure the safety and security of PU-AMI staff/assets and beneficiaries.
-Provide timely security information and advice to Gaza office coordinator and logistic coordinator.
-Ensuring all security plan directives are respected by all staff and update it regularly.
-Ensuring logistics activities are closely coordinated with programme, administrative and management teams.

Qualifications and experiences:
Essential
-University degree in logistics, procurement, business administration or related field.
-Minimum 2 years relevant experiences
-Excellent computer skills especially in MS Word, Excel and Access.
-Proven ability to plan and manage own time and others
-Well organized and attention to details with good interpersonal, analytical and communications skills
-Fluency in both Arabic and English (Both written and spoken) and must have valid driving licence
-Good in time management, and got the abilityto work under pressure
-High reporting skills

Desirable
-Experience of government, UN or international organization logistics routines
-Knowledge of security management of UN or international organization routines.
-Knowledge about different emergency donors procurement procedures

Commencement: April 8th 2012
Duration: 6 months
