LOGISTICS ASSISTANT- GAZA BASED

The position is based in Gaza for six months with possible extension.

Reporting to: Logistics Officer
Staff reporting to this post: Drivers
Date of implementation:    As soon aspossible
Status: National staff position
 
MAIN RESPONSABILITIES
-Responsible and accountable for ensuring that office / programme purchases & services are done according to OGB’s procurement policy & procedures.
-Fleet management of vehicles.
-Assist in providing IT support to Gaza staff and serving as IT focal point with Regional IT team.
-Manage information and reporting requirements, including asset tracking sheet, fleet/fuel consumption sheet, requisition tracking sheet and suppliers list.
-Carry out driving responsibilities in accordance with Oxfam policies & in accordance with the local laws.
-Any task reasonably assigned to you by your line manager or designated person.
 
SKILLS AND COMPETENCES
 
-Previous experience in the logistics field, preferable with INGO.
-Ability to communicate instructions effectively.
-Ability to work under consistent pressure.
-Able to organise own work with minimum supervision.
-Good communication skills.
-Good time-management skills.
-Willing & able to offer support to other departments.
-Computer literate, including word processing, database / spreadsheet use
-Very good written & oral Arabic and English essential.
-Driving licence
