WeWorld has been working in Palestine since 1992, operating in the field of human rights, humanitarian aid and development to guarantee Palestinian communities access to basic services and available natural resources, in particular with regard to integrated service management, the strengthening of the integrated protection of the population and the enhancement of local socio-economic development in a sustainable and innovative way, with particular attention to the social and economic empowerment of women.
WeWorld in Palestine has 5 offices (Jerusalem, Ramallah, Hebron, Tubas and Gaza Strip). Over the decades, WeWorld has implemented several interventions funded by multiple donors: ECHO and EU, UN agencies as UNICEF and OCHA, as well as national agencies such as AICS, SIDA, GIZ, JICA, GFFO, FCDO, and others.
With a people-centered approach, the priorities are always identified together with the communities we serve, with a specific focus on a triple Nexus approach. The significant amount of data and analysis collected and elaborated by WeWorld in oPt inform the intervention of multiple agencies in Country. WeWorld is a member of the Global WASH Cluster and is part of all the clusters at national level: WASH, Education, Food Security/Livelihoods, Shelter, Protection and Health. WeWorld is currently active in emergency operations and activities within Gaza to support the ongoing crisis.
WeWorld Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) system ensures the effectiveness and assesses the impact of project and programs. WeWorld MEAL staff is tasked with the systematic tracking and monitoring of project activities, capturing both qualitative and quantitative data. Additionally, it actively supports the in-country offices’ programs and departments by ensuring the delivery of high-quality services, leveraging knowledge, Ensuring Accountability to Affected Population, coordinating and assessing the efforts of local Implementing Partners. WeWorld MEAL system also contributes to grant management by providing support in reporting and proposal development.
Purpose of the role
The Logistic Coordinator is responsible for managing and overseeing all logistics operations
including warehousing, fleet management, and daily and weekly movement plans to ensure
efficient and effective logistical support to WeWorld operations in the Gaza Strip, oPt.
MAIN ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Logistic Planning:
• Organize and manage daily and weekly movement plans, coordinating logistics to support
ongoing operations.
• Oversee the adaptation and implementation of alternative communication tools, including
satellite communications, to maintain connectivity in areas with traditional communication
challenges
• Work in close coordination with the Security Coordinator to align logistics operations with
security protocols and ensure staff safety.
• Support Operation Manager in revising and updating Logistic SoPs for the mission.
Distribution Activities:
• Work closely with the Logistics Officer and the Security Coordinator to devise and
implement efficient distribution plans that ensure timely and safe delivery of aid and
resources.
• Monitor distribution processes to adjust plans as needed based on operational feedback
and context changes.
• Share with the security Coordinator any security incidents or concerns with the coordination
team
• Support Senior Management team providing logistics strategies to meet changing needs and
conditions in a complex operational environment.
Fleet Management:
• Responsible of the maintenance and scheduling of all organizational vehicles.
• Develop and implement fleet management strategies to enhance efficiency and reduce
costs.
• Ensure that all fleet operations adhere to safety and environmental regulations.
• Oversee fuel management, including procurement, storage, and distribution to ensure
adequate supply while optimizing fuel usage and costs.
• Support the operation Manager in developing and enforcing policies for vehicle use,
maintenance, and replacement.
Asset management:
• Collaborate with the Logistics Officer to maintain and update asset management protocols,
ensuring all assets are accounted for and properly maintained.
• Regularly review and update asset management policies and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with donor requirements regarding asset procurement and disposal
Warehouse Management:
• Responsible for warehouse operations, ensuring proper stock management practices are
followed, including storage, inventory, and distribution of supplies.
• Implement controls to minimize stock loss and ensure the integrity of goods.
Premise Management:
• Manage the maintenance and operational functionality of organizational premises, including
offices and project centers.
• Ensure that all premises meet health and safety standards suitable for staff and operations.
• Coordinate with service providers to ensure that all utilities and services are maintained.
• Coordinate logistics setting up for new premises or modifications to existing facilities.
Coordination with external actors:
• Actively participate in the logistics cluster meetings in Gaza, representing the organization and
collaborating with other agencies.

Expected Skills and Qualifications Required:
Professional Experience:
Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years in logistics or a closely related field, with proven experience in managing
teams.
Education:
Relevant degree or professional qualifications in logistics, supply chain management, or
business administration.
Languages:
Fluency in English and Arabic required.
ITC Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, Access, logistics software and satellite communications.
Personal Attributes:
Strong leadership, coordination, and communication skills necessary for managing a diverse
team and interfacing with other departments.
Ability to address and resolve issues swiftly to maintain continuous operations.
