MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Monitoring and Evaluation Coordinator will be providing support for the overall M&E functions of Tamer Institute with a focus on a project “Tri –learning (Literacy, numeracy and life skills)” project and psychosocial well-being through art.

  • Development and/or revise Tamer Institute’s M&E plans, strategic and per program
  • Lead the realization of the MEAL system at Tamer
  • Ensure following up on program’s implementation and results-based delivery
  • Collect and supervise regular data collection through implementing partners and ensure quality of the data by random verifications and validations
  • Analyse and present data to relevant stakeholders, including the team, donors and affected beneficiaries on a regular basis
  • Prepare M&E reports as required according to the projects agreements
  • Provide technical support on M&E and evidence-based recommendations
  • Establish and update databases reflecting accurate statistics on beneficiaries’ numbers and indicators progress
  • Conduct field visits, joint visits, spot visits and random checks for the implemented activities/programs to ensure the quality and progress of the implementation as per the agreed plans.
  • Design and implement project baseline and end line surveys, Pre & Post questionnaires and focus groups and other tools where needed
  • Assist in knowledge-building and dissemination of lessons learned to national counterparts
  • Support programs and fundraising departments in developing project’s proposals, especially the logical frames and situation analysis
  • Disseminate the culture of monitoring, evaluation and learning among the team members
  • Identify potential areas of interventions based on the needs of the target groups
  • Support other departments in networking and communicating with donors, current and potential
  • Support other departments in reporting, where needed

Job Requirements

Professional Qualification

  • University Degree in Social Studies or related fields.
  • Knowledge and understanding of program/project M&E.
  • Understanding of the current M&E trends and especially M&E systems in development organisations.

Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience, with an organization working in the field of education, culture or protection
  • Experience in data analysis and report writing.
  • Experience in qualitative and quantitative data collection methods.

Skills

  • Monitoring and evaluation techniques and processes.
  • Data collection and management.
  • Analytical and research skills.
  • Excellent command over report writing in English.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent computer knowledge with command on MS Excel among other packages of MS Office.

  • Time management and ability to prioritise multiple tasks.
  • Able to work effectively in a diverse team environment.
  • Able to effectively promote Tamer Institute mission, values, and objectives.
