Mapping and data analyst officer

The Terre des hommes Foundation (Lausanne) a Swiss-based international non governmental
organisation dedicated to children’ assistance and protection, is looking for an experienced

Position: Mapping and data analyst officer
Location: Gaza city
Duration: 6 months

MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

In close collaboration with the psychosocial specialists, the mapping and data analyst officer is
responsible for:
-Developing database, data collection formats (hard copy) and mapping according to project needs
and requirements;
-Collecting, entering and updating all the gathered information’s from the field into the database;
-Providing data analysis and reports as required by the Psychosocial specialists;
-Ensuring the presentation of data and mapping as needed in workshops/conferences/meetings/
reporting;
-Assisting the MHPSS TU in developing reporting and monitoring tools.

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCES:
-At least 4 years of relevant professional work experience in data collection and analysis in the fields of health and/or the social sciences;
-Experience in database creation, reporting and monitoring tools;
-A BA in Computer science and Database management a minimum requirement;
-Good writing and reporting skills;
-Good command of written and spoken English, Arabic as mother tongue;
-Experience in NGO environment is an asset.

-Strong analytical and organisational skills;
-Understanding, interest and commitment to humanitarian activities.
