Market Strategy Consultant


MA’AN Development Center is an independent Palestinian development and training institution established in January, 1989, registered by law as a non-profit organization. The main office is located in Ramallah and has several branch offices located throughout the West Bank, Gaza, and East Jerusalem.  MA’AN's work is informed by the necessity of creating independent, self-reliant initiatives that lead to the development of human resources for sustainable development, which incorporate values of self-sufficiency and self-empowerment. 

MA’AN, through a grant from SolSoc, is working with Birzeit Friends University Association for a project entitled “Hand by Hand” . The goal of this project is to set up income generating activities that will be later on distributed as scholarships to eligible students of Birzeit University who face difficulties covering their university fees. The main activity is various training for handicrafts products. The objective is to reach a maximum number of students who will benefit from this financial support. In order to achieve this goal and objective, MA’AN is seeking a Marketing Consultant that will help devise a marketing strategy for this project.

Job Purpose :

The candidate will serve as Marketing Consultant and will be in charge of setting up a marketing plan, mainly developing and executing a marketing strategy, including advertising and public relations to achieve above stated objectives. The Marketing Consultant will also be responsible for planning and implementing an integrated customer relationship and communication campaign. This work will be informed by a market research to identify opportunities for increased sales.


Responsibilities:
-Conduct a market research

-Develop a marketing strategy that includes:
1)A recognizable, simple logo for the BZUFA.
2)A mockup of a brochure and advertisement (print)

3)A marketing plan for the BZUFA including:
a-key messages for stake holders
b-any activities needed for ongoing support and growth of the BZUFA
c-the promotional and educational resources needed to support the plan
d-identification of the most efficient and effective modes of delivery
-Build a database regarding potential clients.
-Present information in a validation workshop with MA’AN and BZUFA


Qualifications:
-Bachelor or Masters in marketing, business administration or related field.
-Minimum of at least 5 years of relevant experience in marketing.
-An established track record in communications, outreach, branding and knowledge management.
-Knowledge of and experience in interpreting and using qualitative and/or quantitative research to develop evidence-based strategies.
-Experience in working with stakeholders to define the ethos of the brand and translate that into a creative brief.
-Strong communication and writing skills in English and Arabic.
-Desirable experience in sales.
