Job Purpose: The Communications and Marketing Manager will conceptualize, plan and   
  implement the companies’ internal and external communications.

POSITION SUMMARY

This is a mid-level job with at least 7 years of experience. The communications manager has primary responsibility for all internal and external communications and branding, public relations, social media, content creation, and events support.

The manager will create, implement and oversee internal and external communications. s/he will draft written materials, prepare presentations and communicate with employees and potential clients.

This position will creatively leverage online and traditional communications channels to reach target clients. The goal is to establish Reach Express and Zain as clients’ world-class partner for high quality one stop shop communications services and solutions.



DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Communications/Marketing Strategy: create, manage and execute strategic communications/marketing plans for the companies’ public facing communications; Manage and maintain a strong brand for the companies.

Public Relations: Manage incoming media requests for Zain, Reach Express and clients; build relationships with journalists; create, execute and measure media campaigns.

Digital Marketing: create, manage and grow the companies’ presence through companies’ websites, videos, blogs, Twitter, Facebook and other strategically relevant online platforms.

Events Management: Help plan and execute major events for Reach Express and Zain, as well as clients’ events.

Content creation: Research and write blog posts, articles, newsletters, communication materials, and other organizational collateral.

Development and Executive Support: Support fund development initiatives, grant proposals, presentations and other projects as assigned. 

Partnerships: Lead efforts to build, manage and maintain strategic partnerships with businesses.  

Management: Manage the day-to-day internal and external communications and marketing activities of the companies; provide line management and support to staff within the communication team. 

Monitoring & Evaluation: Monitor and forecast an accurate communications budget; monitor and evaluate ongoing activities and make adjustments to implementation as needed. 

Undertake other duties as may be reasonably required from time to time.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

-    Minimum 7 years of experience in a communications or marketing role;
-    Experience in project management with a proven track record of delivering on objectives;
-    Experience of developing and implementing media or marketing campaigns;
-    Experience of representing an organization to the public and/or media;
-    Ability to manage workload and work to tight deadlines;
-    Prior experience supporting multiple teams.

EDUCATION

To have a bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Marketing, Communications, Public Relations or relevant field. Having a master’s degree in communications is a plus.

-    Strong writing, editing, proofreading, layout and design, and ability to present concepts verbally;

-    Self-motivated with a positive and professional approach to management;
-    The ability to drive and use a car for work and to work across different locations. 

LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY

Fluency (written and spoken) in English and Arabic.
