Mechanical Design Engineer

Intersect Innovation Hub, on behalf of its partner organization Immensa, is currently seeking four (4)  Mechanical Design Engineers. Interested applicants are asked to submit their CV and cover letter to [email protected].

PURPOSE of JOB

• To work on scanned files/mesh files and generate CAD models
• ensure technical efficiency and quality in the reverse engineering and re-designing of components based on standards and functional parts applications.
• Preparation of detailed Engineering drawings, CAD files, and all information required to reproduce the components.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Execute the reverse engineering, design release and certification requirements of mechanical components and assemblies
• Review designs for accuracy, functionality, and manufacturability
• Drafting engineering drawing as per ASME Y14.5 & company standards
• Ability to read and capture all theoretical input data required to generate the final 3D CAD model and engineering drawings of functional components. These data can include (3D scanned stl, dimensions, surface features, material, hardness, part application,..etc)
• Provide technical solutions for a wide range of tasks.
• Work independently to analyze, interpret, and translate source data into the product.
• Read and understand blueprints, tolerances, components manufacturing drawings
• Finalize parts CAD files and Engineering 2D drawings using 2D/3D CAD software
• Experience with Solidworks software in order to execute the designing process.
• Designing based on input data & application requirements and defining tolerances based on fitment requirements to guide the product manufacturing process
• User of the Geomagics Design X software and aware of its features

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s Degree in mechanical engineering from a reputed university.
• Knowledge in reverse engineering & functional components CAD Design
• Knowledge in dimensional measurements and drafting 2D manufacturing engineeringdrawings.
• Experience in engineering and modelling software (mainly SolidWorks and Geomagics Design X)
• Skilled in reading and generating components manufacturing drawings.
• Problem solving skills to counter issues in advance.
• Organized and detail-oriented.
• Self-motivated, self-starter and fast learner able to take direction from multiple sources.
• Capable of thriving in a fast-paced work environment with pressure and tight deadlines.
