An International Organization working in the water sector in the West Bank and funded by USAID is seeking to hire a full-time “Mechanical Quality Control Engineer” for a six month period which could be extended.
Main Tasks:
1. Provide quality control and quality assurance (QA/QC) review of construction projects, for compliance with USAID regulations, standards, and contract documents. QC work will be primarily with mechanical and electrical construction work, associated with civil works.
2. Conduct daily field inspections at the project site, and monitor and track site activities.
3. Document site construction activities.
4. Work closely with the project manager and the lead QC and coordinate with other team members.
5. Prepare daily reports and assist with the preparation of weekly and monthly reports.
6. Carry out QC activities at the site from Saturday through Thursday and other times while construction activities occur.
7. Location of the work will be in Bureen and the field office is in Huwara in the north of the West Bank.
Skills Required:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
2. A minimum of 10 years of experience in similar work.
3. At least 5 years working with USAID projects.
4. Very good verbal and writing skills in English language.
5. Excellent organizational and managerial skills.
6. Very good experience in computer Microsoft Word, Excel, internet, Power Point, Primavera, MS Project and AutoCAD.
7. Possess a valid driving license.
