Media Analyst

US Embassy's Palestinian Media Unit seeks:

To review, translate, summarize and analyze content from Palestinian-related, Arabic-language textual and broadcast sources for use by the US Government.

Required:
-Arabic at native speaker level
-Able to quickly and accurately translate Palestinian-related, Arabic textual and audio reports into English
-Able to write insightful reports and analyses on regional topics of current interest in clear grammatical English
-Bachelor's degree or higher
-Knowledge of current events
-Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills

Desired:
-Degree or significant experience in Middle East Studies, Political Science, Communications, Media Studies or related discipline.
-Translation experience
-Working experience with web publishing, digital video editing, and other multimedia tools
-Working experience with social networking sites

Qualified candidates will be sent a preliminary translation test, on the basis of which short listed candidates will be invited for interview and further tests.
Office is located at the US Consulate General in Jerusalem and operates seven days a week.
