Media/Communications Expert
Première Urgence Internationale (PUI) is a French non-governmental organization (NGO) whose objective is to bring about a global response to the basic needs of populations suffering from humanitarian crises and to allow them to recover their autonomy and dignity. PUI strives to develop an integrated approach in the areas in which it intervenes by providing multi-sectoral aid in the fields of food security, health and nutrition, shelter, WASH (water, sanitation and hygiene), and economic recovery. PUI is present in 22 countries in Africa, the Middle East, Asia and South Caucasus, implementing emergency and development programs in zones affected by conflict and economic crises.
PUI is seeking for Media/Communications Expert for an external evaluation of PUI’s media campaign on women economic empowerment. The evaluation should:
-Examine the overall impact (i.e. awareness-raising, behavior changes, etc.) of the media campaign on the target audience.
-Measure the relevance and effectiveness of the chosen messages for the targeted audience.
-Study the relevance of the campaign’s coverage through studying the choice of medium, media outlets, etc.
This contract is open to all national individuals, teams, or consultancy companies that have the following minimum qualifications:
-Media or communications expert with at least five years of demonstrable experience of working in this sector. Experience in development communications and/or the evaluation of similar campaigns will be an advantage.
-Post-graduate level qualification in related subjects (mass communication, media studies, development communication, etc.)
-Specific knowledge of the local media landscape.
-Knowledge of participatory methodologies.
-Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills.
-Excellent written and oral communication skills in both English and Arabic.
