Media Officer
Qatar Charity (QC) is an International Non-Governmental Organization and it’s been in Consultative Status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) since 1997 and was a member of the General Founding Conference of the Arab Network for NGOs. QC, Gaza Office invites candidates to apply for the following position:
Media Officer
Location: Gaza Strip
Duration: Two years (with possibility to extend)
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
-Create a media plant hat is suitable to QC's needs, Implement and monitor communication and mediaplan; report on measurable indicators, achievements and setbacks.
-Create, design, produce and publish all media and, public awareness materials including (but not limited to): newspaper advertisements/articles/ statements, radio and TV spots, promotional activities reports, annual reports and brochures, flyers and other marketing materials.
-Prepare, monitor and follow on agreements with sub-contractors for production of documentary films when needed, produce and print materials, researches, reports, promotion materials, etc. for publishing.
-Plan, prepare, monitor and follow up on QC's public events as needed.
-Establish and maintain strong relationship with all QC stakeholders; Beneficiaries, Donors, and Partners.
-Networking and Cooperation with other Governmental bodies, local NGOs, UN agencies and international NGOs to promote QC's mission, objectives and results.
-Field work to document and report on success storieson QC beneficiaries all over the Gaza Stripas required.
-Attend the regular QC's staff or other meetings and anypublic sessions or workshops to represent and promote the QC's mission andobjectives within the community and other NGO's when needed.
-Provide monthlymanagement reports to Office Director and other relevant management bodies’ asrequested.
-Performs such other duties as may beassigned.
PERSONAL&PROFESSIONALCOMPETENCIES
-B.Sc. Degree in Journalism, Media or other related field
-A minimum of three years’ work experience in a field related to the post;
-Solid communication skills in both Arabic and English;
-Excellent ability to write, edit and create publications, newsletters, public statements, professional photography, marketing and promotional materials;
-Positive, innovative, inspirational and problem solving attitude;
-Able topredict and be responsible and accountable for the results&impact ofhis/her work;
-Team Player, Hardworking and Committedpersonality;
-Operational knowledgeof video & audio editing systems and equipment;
-Skilled in Microsoft Office and internet;
-Ability towork well under extreme pressure;
-It is desirable to have a driving license;
