Media Officer
The Palestinian Bar Association is an independent professional institution that enjoys legal personality and financial independence. Its affairs are handled by a council elected by the General Assembly. It works as a framework that brings together and represents Palestinian lawyers in Palestine. The Bar Association works to pay attention to the social and professional affairs of lawyers and defend them through the programs and training.
The Palestinian Regular Bar Association was established in July 1997, and the Regular Bar Association Law No. 3 of 1999 issued by the Palestinian Legislative Council, and its amendments, is applied in the Bar Association.
The Palestinian Bar Association is seeking qualified and dynamic candidate to fulfil the full-time position of Media Officer/ Department of Media and Public Relations in its office in Ramallah:
Job Description
The Media Officer will be managing and enhancing the Palestinian Bar Association media presence, both locally and abroad. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing media campaigns, fostering international relations, overseeing campaign logistics, preparing reports, managing the Bar Association website content and other social media platforms, and drafting press releases.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate, and execute media campaigns to raise awareness of the Palestinian Bar Association's initiatives and objectives.
- Develop and implement strategies to engage and mobilize the public through various media channels.
- Maintain relationships with international media outlets, organizations, and stakeholders
- Ensure preparation of timely and high-quality progress reports and/or annual basis, as required.
- Update and continuously feed the official website of the Palestinian Bar Association with news and activities to ensure it remains current, relevant, and aligned with organizational goals.
- Schedule publications in various formats, including text, images, or videos, on the Bar Association's website and other relevant platforms under the direct supervision of the immediate supervisor.
- Utilize analytics and data to present and improve media content.
- Prepare, draft, and edit news for the Bar Association activities following the instructions of the immediate supervisor.
- Photographing events and meetings, preparing designs, posters, and videos for all events and occasions.
- Manage and coordinate workshops, training, meetings and / or interviews, as required per projects.
- Executing any other tasks assigned by the line manager.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Journalism or a related field.
- A minimum of 1-3 years of experience in media, managing social media platforms, and updating websites.
Skills:
- Proficiency in handling various social media platforms
- Attention to details
- Ability to present creative ideas
- Fluent in English, with the ability to write news articles in English.
- Effective interaction with employees and clients.
- High photography skills.
- High skills in graphic design.
- Ability to handle data, analyze it, and utilize it.
- Proficiency in communication skills, time management, and efficient work with precision in managing work requirements.
- Ability to work outside official working hours.
