Medical Manager

Médecins du Monde (MDM) France is an International Medical Organization, which has been present in the Palestinian Territories since 1995. It operates in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank through offices located in Jerusalem, Gaza and Nablus.

 

MDM is currently looking for qualified candidates to fill the position of:

 

Medical Manager, Gaza Base (1 Position)

Starting date: as soon as possible

Type:  Full Time Contract

Duration: 1 Year with possibility of extension

I.                      Tasks and responsibilities

 

1.1 Strategy 

• Participate in the preparation of health department plans for the Gaza Strip, to adjust MdM activities and resources to the needs.  
• Conduct the needs assessments and diagnosis, within the medical department.  
• Contribute to the drafting of activities’ proposals for donors. 
• Contribute to the advocacy strategy design and implementation.  
• Participate technical/strategic meetings with local partners (Ministry of Health, international organizations, NGOs, etc.) in coordination with the Medical and Field Coordinators. 

1.2 Programming 

• Ensure the quality implementation of the medical emergency program and its follow-up in its different aspects: logistical, administrative, and medical. 
• Capitalize on tools, protocols, and guidelines produced on the project - quality/M&E. 
• In cooperation with the direct supervisor, make proposals for the re-orientation of the activities and the medical framework of the mission according to the situation on the field. 
• Assess the Emergency needs of the communities and provide regular updates on the main health stakeholders in the Gaza Strip. 
• Plan, implement, monitor, and evaluate the medical activities implemented by MdM staff/Partners. 
• Monitor the public health context (in collaboration with the direct supervisor) and challenges and react to any change by adapting the program if necessary.  

1.3 Trainings 

• Develop and organize medical training curriculum and organize training events in cooperation and close coordination with the medical coordinator and the medical team. 
• Assess the needs of training for MdM and partner staff and organize training accordingly. 
• In charge of the technical operational coordination between all partners involved in the training.
