Palestine Trade Center (PalTrade) is a nongovernmental organization established in 1998. PalTrade’s purpose is to lead the development of Palestinian trade as a driving force for sustainable national economic growth. As the National Export Development Organization with membership of more than 200 Palestinian leading businesses,
PalTrade advocates a competitive, enabling business environment and is dedicated to improving trade competitiveness through trade promotion and capacity building.

PalTrade is seeking candidates to fill the position for its office in Ramallah and Gaza:
Membership and Public Relation Officer
Term of Reference:

1-Maintains and updates memberships records;
2-Recruits new members and ensures renewal of membership;
3-Responds to member queries and requests for information;
4-Liaises with members to ascertain their interests and concerns;
5-Coordinates with other group managers in providing that services meet members needs;
6-Arrange PalTrade functions designed to bring members together and to foster team spirit and participation.
7-Respond to requests for information from the media or designate an appropriate spokesperson or information source.
8-Study the objectives, promotional policies, or needs of organizations to develop public relations strategies that will influence public opinion or promote ideas, products, or services.
9-Plan or direct development or communication of informational programs to maintain favorable public or stockholder perceptions of an organization's accomplishments or agenda.
10-Establish or maintain cooperative relationships with representatives of community, consumer, employee, or public interest groups.
11-Prepare or edit organizational publications for internal and external audiences, including employee newsletters and stockholders' reports.
12-Coach client representatives in effective communication with the public or with employees.
13-Confer with production or support personnel to produce or coordinate production of advertisements or promotions.
14-Confer with other managers to identify trends or key group interests or concerns or to provide advice on business decisions.
15-Arrange public appearances, lectures, contests, or exhibits for clients to increase product or service awareness or to promote goodwill.
16-Consult with advertising agencies or staff to arrange promotional campaigns in all types of media for products, organizations, or individuals.
17-Any other assignment assigned by the Direct Supervisor.


Minimum Qualifications:

-Degree in Pubic Relation, Business Administration, International Relations or the equivalent.
-At least 3 years experience in the area of Public Relation.
-Strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills
-Good negotiation skills and should be able to undertake extensive fieldwork and liaise with government, nongovernment, private sector agencies and companies..
-Good team player, ability to work under pressure and deliver work under strict timeframes.
-Excellent English and Arabic language
-Skilled user of MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
