MSF Spain is looking for a Mental Health Supervisor in Gaza to Participate in the planning, supervision and coordination of mental health / pycho-social related services in the programme in accordance with MSF standards in order to provide the most appropriate mental health support for patients.

Accountabilities
• Participate in the planning, organization and coordination of Mental Health activities, in close collaboration with the Mental Health activity manager and other medical team members, in order to ensure an efficient and effective implementation of the resources needed while maintaining high levels of quality in Mental Health MSF programs and activities.
• Coordinates activities of counseling services with other relevant actors and liaises with the local counterparts (like MoH, WHO, ICRC and NGO) on mental health matters, including referral services.
• Supervise the daily mental health activities and patient support according to MSF protocols and standards in order to provide the most appropriate support for clients with psycho social needs
• Liaise with the other MSF team members of the project.
• Supervise, in close coordination with the HR department, the associated processes (recruitment, training/induction, evaluation, potential detection, development and communication) of the staff under his/her responsibility in order to ensure both the sizing and the amount of knowledge required
• Oversee the administrative processes associated with psychosocial functioning.
• When needed, give psychological support to patients according to MSF protocols to improve mental health conditions of patients and enhance their functionality.
• Compile the data and statistic linked with MH activities and report to the MH activity manager
• Offer clinical counselling supervision to mental health counsellors in collaboration with the Mental Health Activity Manager.
• Ensure the patient’s related information is kept confidential
MSF Section/Context Specific Accountabilities
- In collaboration with MHAM, identifies training needs and supports the design and facilitation of training based on identified needs in the Mental Health Department and other project departments, using the organization's mental health guidelines.
-Responsible for programmatic oversight of Mental Health activities, including oversight of referral pathways, coordination of care between departments and providing support to psychologists and counselors.
- Responsible for individual and group clinical supervision of the Mental Health Department.
- Ensures the quality of mental health activities and, in collaboration with MHAM, develops strategies to improve the quality of and access to mental health treatment.
- Oversees the proper documentation of individual and group activities at each point of care according to the formats used in the project, ensuring confidentiality of information and data quality,
- Responsible for compiling and analyzing information on weekly mental health activities reported by the team at each point of care.
- Responsible for updating the mental health databases guaranteeing their proper custody and confidentiality.
- Lead together with the MHAM studies of difficult cases, including patients in need of psychiatric care, promoting a space for learning and strengthening clinical skills in the team.
-Evaluates the needs of each point of care and is attentive to the context and its changes to determine adjustments and reorganization of the team when necessary, according to the demand of the mental health service.
-Maintains continuous communication with the MHAM of the project to report news and relevant information from the team, in order to optimally manage the mental health department.

Requirements
Education
Essential degree in Clinical or Counselling Psychology
Experience
Essential minimum of 4 years of experience as a practicing Psychologist
Prior management experience desirable
Desirable previous experience with MSF or other NGO’s
Languages
Local languages and mission language essential (English)
