Mercy Corps, an international non-governmental relief and development agency, is currently
expanding activities in the Gaza strip and is recruiting project staff for various positions.
Youth Programme Coordinator (6 months renewable)
Main Responsibilities:
1. Overall responsibility for the implementation of Mercy Corps’ youth connectivity programme
2. Ensure the timely implementation of the programme to the highest standards
3. Lead an ever increasing pool of youth that will reach 1000 in the coming days
4. Mobilise and motivate youth, organise and strategically plan the work of the youth groups
Requirements:
· Degree in education, social science or related field, experience in working with youth
· Experience in staff management, strong organisational skills, excellent English
Emergency Programme Manager (6 months renewable)
Main Responsibilities:
· Overall responsibility for the implementation of Mercy Corps’ shelter intervention
· Ensure the timely implementation of the programme to the highest standards
· Lead a team of field staff
Requirements:
1. Degree in social science, education or related field with extensive experience in
2. emergency.
3. Experience in staff management, reporting skills and English is a must.
Psychosocial Coordinator (6 months renewable)
Main Responsibilities:
· Under the supervision of the programme manager coordinate psychosocial activities
targeting children of all age groups with our partner organisations
· Establish and maintain relationships with partner organisations
· Support the programme manager in meeting reporting requirements
Requirements:
1. Degree in psychology or related field and related work experience, preferably with
children
2. Strong and proven organisational skills a must
Procurement and Logistics Assistant (6 months renewable)
Main Responsibilities:
· Overall responsibility for all procurements and logistical requirements
· Negotiate and complete contracts with transporters and suppliers
· Perform related administrative tasks such as filling in forms in excel, prepare purchase
requests, compare goods received notes with invoices and packing lists etc
Requirements:
· Experience in logistics management and procurement in commercial environment or
an NGO
· Excellent computer skills including Excel and Word
