MAP is seeking an experienced MHPSS Lead to drive the development and management of MHPSS programming in Gaza under the supervision of the Head of Protection. The successful candidate will devise strategies, oversee project design, manage budgets, and ensure compliance with donor requirements. Responsibilities include designing MHPSS programme strategies, contextualizing global MHPSS guidance, and developing technical documents and SOPs. They will support the development of PSS toolkits, provide technical guidance for PSS activities, and oversee MHPSS programmes delivered by MAP and partners.

Key responsibilities involve conducting MHPSS needs and situation analyses, developing and managing funding proposals, coordinating project implementation, and ensuring consultative, participative, transparent, and gender-sensitive programme delivery. In collaboration with the MAP Meal Manager, they will monitor and evaluate programme work, ensuring compliance with international guidelines and donor obligations.
The role requires extensive experience as a Programme Manager/Technical Specialist in humanitarian contexts, preferably in the Middle East, and experience in conflict-affected, insecure environments. The candidate should have a minimum of 8 years of practical experience in MHPSS programming, technical MHPSS expertise, and fluency in Arabic and English.
