Type: Full Time (35 hours/week)

Reporting to: MHPSS Programme Lead

Contract: 12 Months Fixed-Term

Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP) is a leading UK charity dedicated to improving the health and dignity of Palestinians affected by conflict, occupation, and displacement. With a focus on the occupied Palestinian territory and Palestinian refugee camps in Lebanon, we provide vital health and medical care to those in need, particularly in crisis zones like Gaza. We are seeking an MHPSS Programme Officer to support the implementation, monitoring, and reporting of MAP’s Mental Health & Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) projects in Gaza while ensuring compliance with organizational and donor requirements. Responsibilities include supporting project development, conducting assessments, engaging with key stakeholders such as the Ministry of Health (MoH) and partner organizations, and ensuring transparency in project activities. The role also involves coordinating field visits, strengthening networks, and supporting outreach efforts such as impact storytelling, fundraising activities, and representation in key meetings and emergency interventions.

The ideal candidate should have strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with relevant qualifications or experience in Psychology, Social Work, Mental Health, or a related discipline. They must have experience in project cycle management, M&E frameworks, stakeholder engagement, and data collection, particularly within the humanitarian or emergency context in Gaza. Essential skills include budget management, financial reporting, planning, and proficiency in English, Arabic, and MS Office. The candidate should demonstrate integrity, flexibility in emergencies, and a commitment to MAP’s mission.
