MHPSS Remote Intervention and Tele-Counseling Trainer

1. Background:
Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP) is a UK-registered charity that has been reaching out to the Palestinian communities, striving to deliver health and medical care to those worst affected by conflict, occupation, and displacement. MAP provides immediate medical aid to those in need at times of crisis while also developing local capacity and skills to ensure the long-term development of the Palestinian healthcare system.
MAP’s vision is of a future in which all Palestinians can access an effective, sustainable, and locally-led system of healthcare and the full realization of their rights to health and dignity.
In reference to the project titled: “Access to trauma, emergency care at the prehospital level, and mental health and psychosocial support services.” which is funded by the oPt Humanitarian Fund (oPt HF).
MAP is seeking a trainer to prepare and deliver one training day on MHPSS Remote intervention (Tele Counseling) training. The target of this training is UNRWA MHPSS staff working in the Nablus and Tulkaram areas.
2. Objectives:
MAP is seeking a trainer to:
Prepare and deliver one-day training for UNRWA MHPSS staff working in Tulkaram and Nablus areas on Remote intervention (Tele Counseling).

3. Scope of Work:
- Prepare and provide training materials relevant to the required training, including assessment tools to measure the effect of training.
- Deliver one day of MHPSS Remote intervention (Tele Counseling) training to 20-25 participants.
- Include visual aids and interactive methods in training.
- Write a detailed training report with detailed description of the activities and detailing pre- and post-assessment results of the training with recommendations for future actions.
- Complete the safeguarding online training via kayaconnect.org and provide the completion certificate to MAP.
4. Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s /Graduate degree in Psychology or related fields.
- Has demonstrated experience in delivering remote intervention (Tele Counseling) services and training other MHPSS professionals on this mode of care.
- Good organizational skills, with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work under pressure.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Good experience in reporting.
- Good command of the English language, both written and spoken.

6. Ethical Considerations
The trainer will be required to adhere to MAP policies and ethical guidelines, including MAP’s safeguarding policy and code of conduct.
