MA'AN Development Center is seeking to fill the vacant position of a part time PROJECT MONITORING, AND EVALUATION COORDINATOR based in Gaza for its FADOC project, a three-year youth program, funded by SOLSOC a Belgium organization in partnership with Bisan Center for Research and Development and Popular Art Centre, working closely with youth CBOs in Gaza and the West Bank.
The Purpose:
The role of the M&E Coordinator is responsible for guiding the overall M&E strategy in Gaza and implementation of related activities within the project and via partners, based on the outcome mapping methodology, plus providing timely and relevant information to project stakeholders and reporting of ongoing projects to ensure high quality program implementation.
Major Duties Include:
1-Responsible for ensuring project information is up-to-date and accurate.
2-Responsible for designing tools for the data collection, compilation and analysis with the partners, in accordance with SolSoc’s requirements.
3-With stakeholders, namely CBOs and partners, set out the framework and procedures for the evaluation of project activities.
4-Collaborate with FADOC team and implementing partners on qualitative monitoring to provide relevant information for ongoing evaluation of project activities, effects and impacts.
5-Prepare monitoring and evaluation reports using data collection tools to be submitted to Fadoc Project Manager and Solsoc Project Officer …
6-Identifying and documenting lessons learnt; collecting information for case studies; writing and preparing success stories, and facilitating periodic reviews, and prepare presentation on achievement of MA’AN projects in Gaza.
7-In coordination with the Project Officer of SolSoc and Program Director, establishing a reporting schedule in accordance with the requirements of the FADOC program and ensuring adherence to the reporting deadlines
8-Undertake regular visits to the field to support implementation of M&E and to identify where adaptations might be needed.
9-Make regular reports to the project team highlighting areas of concern and preparing the documentation for review at meetings.
10-Reporting to and meeting via skype with the Fadoc Project Manager and Solsoc Project Officer on a regular and as need basis.
Job Qualifications:
1-A university degree in development, management, business administration, or related field.
2-Minimum four years of proven experience in planning and implementation of M&E systems
3-Experience & familiarity in Palestinian issues and the NGO sector
4-Strong knowledge of the logical framework approach and M&E methods
5-Knowledge of the outcome mapping methodology is considered as a strong asset.
6-Valid driver’s license an advantage
Skills and Personal attributes:
1-Proficiency in writing and speaking in English and Arabic, French is a plus
2-Report writing in both languages
3-Experience in Qualitative and Quantitative Research
4-Computer (MS-Office including MS-Project)
5-Strong written and oral communication skills
6-Adept skills in project cycle management
7-Working within a team
8-Ability to work under pressure
