Monitoring and Evaluation Manager
Job Description
The USAID-funded Flagship Project is seeking to fill the following position full-time, long-term position:
No phone calls please.
Monitoring and Evaluation Manager. Key functions:
-Implement comprehensive, efficient and effective M&E training and capacity building programs.
-Build M&E capacity by identifying best practices and implementing effective M&E models in order to
achieve highest levels of program quality.
-Manage successful relationships and networks with partner organizations, target communities and donor representatives.
-Develop the framework of an M&E system that will enable all stakeholders to track progress, establish data-gathering mechanisms, consolidate data against the wider project goal, and ensure external coherence and learning.
-Ensure that the monitoring system provide timely informative data, through the use of a single set of tools, processes and personnel, that meets the data needs of all key players involved assuring flexibility to meet the varied time-frames for data reporting and analysis of stakeholders.
-Oversee the M&E unit, Geo-MIS system, TraiNet, and other databases along with required documentation.
Qualifications:
-Masters degree in appropriate discipline (M.A., M.S., MPH, MPP, MPA, MBA, Ph.D., or M.D.)
-At least 7 years in the design, monitoring and evaluation of U.S. Government funded programs.
-Significant experience in the design and implementation of monitoring and evaluation systems for capacity building interventions.
-Broad understanding of USAID/USG compliance requirements.
-Strong facilitation skills, including the design and management of effective trainings, workshops and meetings in diverse participants.
-Strong skills in inter-personal communications, able to work effectively with multiple stakeholders in a complex, multi-actor environment.
-Sensitivity to cultural differences and the ability to work effectively across a wide variety of cultural contexts.
-Strong team player, able to develop and maintain effective working relationships within a distributed and dynamic team.
-Flexible, creative and solution-oriented approach in an innovative environment.
-Strong skills in written communication, including effective report writing.
-Expertise in data collection, analysis and reporting.
