Job Description
Action Against Hunger (ACF) is a humanitarian, non-governmental, non-political, non-denominational and non-profit making organisation working in the Palestinian Territory since 2002.

ACF is recruiting for its Nablus office a:
Monitoring & Evaluation Officer
For an initial 2 month period

The Candidate Will:
-Ensure a better understanding of the project objectives, activities, criteria and procedure of activity implementation.
-Oversee, update and follow up the timely and accuracy of data entry handled by the Data Entry Technician.
-Oversee, update, follow up and adjust tool formats and methodologies related to the appraisal, monitoring and evaluation activities handled by field monitors and Data Entry Technician.
-Carry out robust and accurate data analysis for the data collected independently or as requested by the Food Security Program Manager.
-Commit to closely coordinate with the Program Manager to ensure that data collected, processed and analyzed is coherent with the need for generating practical information as requested.
-Write relevant analytical reports and submitting them to the Food Security and livelihood Program Manger as required.
-Sort and save the resulting information in an easily accessible manner including the application of excellent file and data management techniques.
-Actively participate in the monthly team meeting to present and discuss the information obtained.
-Promote the interchange of information between all users (field monitors and managers).
-Ensure the confidentiality of all the data capture as well as any other information belonging to the organization.

Profile of the Candidate:
-Higher education in a related field; studies in international cooperation / development is highly desirable.
-At least two (2) years experience in humanitarian or emergency programming.
-Demonstrated experience in monitoring and evaluation tools and methods.
-Experience in working with and coordinating with international and/or national NGOs.
-Good communication and interpersonal skills, including training, capacity building and presentation skills.
-Excellent time management and a commitment to quality work.
-Strong analytical skills.
-Fluency in English and Arabic (spoken and written), ability to write clear, concise reports and other documents with a commitment to quality.
-Excellent computer skills with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and email/internet software.
