The role
 
Working closely with the Humanitarian Coordinator, you’ll facilitate cash programmes in Gaza, integrating other agencies cash programmes and making sure everyone’s pulling in the same direction. And factoring in your specialist knowledge, you’ll lead the way as ECHO funded agencies develop the standard operating procedures for cash programming . You will be spotting opportunities to improve implementation, synergies and linkages to broader CALP programming. You’ll also work with others, to build the capacity of agencies to implement cash and voucher programmes in a technically appropriate way. This would be through knowledge transfer, training, and mentoring.
Your are also expected to ensure experience and understanding gained is concisely documented and shared between agencies and with wider stakeholders including within existing coordination mechanism. You will be the one to count on developing good practice in this area and evidence based research.
Capturing learning and feedback to improve the Cash based response will be an essential part of this role.
 
What we’re looking for
You’ll have a post-graduate qualification , INGO experience plus a solid background in cash based programming. Specialist knowledge of vulnerability, cash and voucher programming is vital too. Working in this role calls for excellent facilitation and interpersonal skills to build alliances and positive and productive consortia. With this in mind, Arabic language skills would be an advantage, though it’s more important that you’re sensitive to gender and diversity, integrating them into our work at every level.
