NCDs (Hypertension & Diabetic Mellitus) Management expert Trainer

Union of Health Care Committees (UHCC) is a grassroots, community-based Palestinian Health organization and is non–governmental and non-profit making. It was established in 1985 by a group of Palestinian doctors and health professionals seeking to supplement the decayed and inadequate health infrastructure in Gaza Strip.

Union of Health Care Committees (UHCC) will implement “Your Health First:  Community Based Interventions for Prevention and Management of Diabetes and Hypertension” project through partnership with International Medical Crops (IMC)and fund from the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) within Gaza2020: Health Matters Project.
UHCC’s project aims to modifying the levels of the major risk factors of NCDs in the community through an integrated community approach to health promotion and maintenance as well as getting data on risk factor based on random samples of middle-aged populations.
UHCC seeks qualified candidate to fulfill the following vacancy:

Position title: NCDs Principal Trainer
Training  Duration:  15 days with 05 days each session
Directly Reporting to: Project Coordinator
Location: Gaza City

Summary Job Description:

One of UHCC's direct activities is to conduct two trainings sessions, each for 5 days, for physicians on conducting risk factor assessment, screening and risk factor modification and reduction by adopting the WHO PEN protocol, WHO/ISH Risk Prediction Charts, WHO Protocols for Counseling on Diet, Physical Activity and Smoking Cessation. The Lead principal researcher will be hired to prepare the training material, lead the training, involve other complementary trainers to train in specific specialized areas i.e cardiology, nephrology and provide a final report.

Requirements

-    8years’ experience in training healthcare professionals
-    Knowledge of the WHO PEN protocol 2013, WHO/ISH Risk Prediction Charts, WHO Protocols for Counseling on Diet, Physical Activity and Smoking Cessation as well as available National NCDs management guidelines .
-    Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings
-    Confidence, Positivity, and Eagerness to Learn: We have a collaborative and high energy team
-    Minimum of MBBS and Master’s degree of public health and PhD in Community Medicine and/or clinical Medicine preferable.
-    Working experience as a data analyst in USAID projects is preferable
-    Very good command of English language.
