Network Administrator

The Network Administrator will report directly to the ICT Director. The NA is responsible for the management and administration of all IT and Communications services and equipment, in accordance with Al-Makassed ICT rules, regulations and policies and training of IT staff on best techniques and practices for the administration of the HMIS and its related network.

Functional Responsibilities
Manage servers, including e-mail, print and backup servers and their associated operating systems and software.
Manage security solutions, including firewall, anti-virus, and intrusion detection systems.
Manage network hardware and equipment, including routers, switches, hubs, and UPSs.
Oversee installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of end user workstation hardware, software, and peripheral devices.
Administer equipment, hardware and software upgrades.
Perform network design and capacity planning.
Interact and negotiate with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to secure network products and services related to project and/or client needs.
Develop, implement and maintain policies, procedures and associated training plans for network resource administration, appropriate use, and disaster recovery.
Administer and maintain client user accounts, permissions, and access rights.
Perform server and security audits.
Perform system backups and recovery.
Provides architectural support and high level analysis for network systems and components, LAN/WAN, communications, and transmission systems
Thorough understanding of business priorities, strategy and direction.
Work on abstract and complex problems requiring evaluation of intangible variables. Integrates trends, data and information into plans, deliverables and recommendations. Develops innovative and creative output based on interpretation and analysis that improve business performance and contribute to corporate goals and strategic intent. Anticipates operational, program, and implementation issues and develops preventative measures.
Monitor and test network performance and provide network performance statistics and reports.
Recommend, schedule, and perform network improvements, upgrades, and repairs.
Actively participate in setting area objectives to meet plans.
Manages critical projects, customer engagements or business processes.
Guides completion of major projects
Provide high level support to complex systems, and investigate, analyze, and resolve difficult problems on network components and multi-purpose platform systems.

Education/Experience
a. Education
B.Sc. certificate in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or related field
Certification from Microsoft, VMware or Oracle is an advantage; MCITP Exams Windows Server 2012, Oracle 11g
b. Work Experience
Minimum 5-7 years of progressively responsible professional work experience related to the planning, design, development implementation and maintenance of computer information systems based on Windows operating and, Linux operating systems is required.
Experience in working directly with strategic and executive levels of management is required.
Experience working in a healthcare setting is desired.
Languages Required: Fluent in both languages, Arabic and English.
