BA/HR is recruiting a Network/Switching Engineer | مهندس اتصالات for a leading Services Company, and located in Ramallah, Palestine. Fresh graduates are highly encouraged to apply.

Contract Type: Permanent - Full Time 

Reporting to Unit Head

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Execute departmental procedures for installing, operating, maintaining, and upgrading NSS components (in terms of hardware, software, licenses & features) to keep the NSS network configured and updated as planned.
2. Distribute the load between different MSCs, BSCs & other nodes to keep the traffic balance between nodes as equal as possible.
3. Cooperate with any vendor as well as other departments in new projects related to NSS network expansion and operational issues to ensure consistency, integrity, and the best interworking environment of the network.
4. Perform the acceptance test of new NSS expansions to make sure that project requirements have been fulfilled.
5. Perform diagnosis and troubleshooting procedures to ensure that the NSS network is healthy and consistent with predefined performance indicators.
6. Execute backups for the core nodes and store them in external storage space to keep them redundant for business continuity.
7. Respond to emergency cases related to the NSS network –as part of the comprehensive emergency plan– at all times at the appropriate level to keep the NSS network live and well-functioning.
8. Monitor the performance of NSS network components, clarify & present the NSS network performance through agreed KPIs and give some technical recommendations to the unit head and manager to assist them in future decisions and plans.
9. Follow up on customer complaints –as delivered from the Customer Complaints Unit– for cases that can’t be fixed from the Customer Care side to make sure that all services provided to the customer are functioning properly and error-free.
10. Follow up roaming procedures (new agreements, IR21 updates, testing, customer complaints, … others).

Prepare and maintain reports –daily or upon request– to different parties to keep the management aware of network status and any possible future needs.
