Duration/ Contract Type:    Part time Contract 80%, open ended.
Working Days :      Mon- Thurs.

About DanChurchAid (DCA):

DanChurchAid( DCA) was established in 1922 in Denmark as an independent non-profit organiza-tion aimed at supporting the world’s poorest people. It is rooted in the Danish National Evangelical Lutheran Church and is a member of Action by Churches Together (ACT) Alliance. Today DCA is one of the major Danish humanitarian organizations working with local partners, international networks, churches and non-religious civil organizations to assist the poorest of the poor. 

DanChurchAid (DCA) and Norwegian Church Aid(NCA) work together in Palestine office under a Joint country program starting June 2016 with DCA lead.

DCA/ NCA is currently looking for a qualified candidate to fill the position of “ Office Administrator” based  in its office in Shu’fat .

Main tasks for the position:

-    Provide all the secretarial services :  calls, mails, and visitors
-    Monitor and ensure the office is maintained properly and clean.
-    Ensure that all office equipment and furniture are in working condition and take corrective actions immediately when malfunctioning
-    Responsible of office Vehicle: contract, maintenance, insurance, auto log sheets.
-    Provide Administrative support to fellow colleagues and country Director : faxing, scan-ning, following up with vendors / partners ….
-    Assisting and supporting the unit when needed for Finance, Admin, HR, Procurement and security responsibilities.
-    Facilitate special event registration and execution.
-    Logistical arrangements for visitors and staff for travelling abroad: visa, invitation letters, booking tickets, hotel, transportation...
-    Local Logistical  arrangements  for staff,  partners, visitors in the country
-    Provide administrative support/ assistance for visitors.
-    Provide administrative support/ assistance for  expats  for settling in : shipments from home country,  travel guidance in country, housing, maintenance …
-    Permits : applications, follow up with responsible authorities , update tracking sheets


Key qualifications / Experience expected:

-    BA degree in Administration or relevant field.
-    1 to 3 years of experience in similar positions
-    Previous work experience with International NGOs is preferred
-    Fluent command of verbal and written Arabic and English. Hebrew is a plus
-    Computer literate, including Excel, word,
-    Ability to travel in Jerusalem. Preference for holders of driving license.
-    Sense for quality in the work.
-     Be solution-oriented.
-    Very good interpersonal and communication skills.
-    Be flexible, pro-active, self-motivated and able to organise work independently as well as be willing to work within a team.
