RTI International is requesting applications for technical and operational roles on USAID-funded West Bank Early Grade Reading Activity. This activity will work closely with and support the Palestinian Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MOEHE) to enhance learning outcomes for Palestinian children at the primary level by improving Arabic reading instruction, and policies and practices at the government, community and school levels. Positions are based in Ramallah. Successful candidates must possess excellent oral and written communication skills including fluency in English and Arabic.
Office Administrator
The Office Administrator will act as the project receptionist, manage logistical arrangements, and support the proper functioning of the project office.
Essential Duties:
-Serve as the receptionist and represents the public face of the project by receiving all visitors and inquiries.
-Answers the project phone and directs enquiries to the appropriate extension.
-Orders stationery and office equipment.
-Responsible for the maintenance and procurement of all computer equipment, office furniture and office supplies
-Handles petty cash requests and provides reimbursement for small purchases following petty cash reimbursement procedures.
-Coordinates the use of the project vehicle to ensure that all trips are covered and executed in an efficient manner.
-Type letters/documents in English and/or Arabic and provide translation (short documents) when needed.
-Makes hotel and travel arrangements for project staff, home office staff and consultants.
-Assist in maintaining proper inventory of all project property.
-Assist events staff with logistics as needed
-Assist the supervisor in any other issues as assigned.
Minimum Required Education & Experience
-Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or a relevant field.
-Minimum of 2 years work experience, preferably in admin and/or operations.
-Excellent writing and communication skills in English and Arabic.
-Familiarity with USAID policies and procedures.
